About the College: The Government First Grade College is established on 10th June, 2013 (G.O.No.ED 44 HPC 2013 Bangalore Dt: 24-06-2013) to cater the needs of higher education to the economically, socially and educationally backward students of the district. The College is started with 23 students in 2013 and today the strength is increased to 430. Girls are the major stake holders of the college. The College is affiliated to Karnatak University Dharwad.
B.A., B.Com. Courses are started since the inception of the College. Shortly the B.Sc. course will be commenced in the College. The objectives of the college are to provide social justice to all sections of the society, to develop the spirit of nationalism and social service among the students.
To collaborate with industries, various Government departments and institutions to enhance skills in languages, research attitude, social responsibility and discipline in student community. Honourable M.L.A. Shri R.V. Deshapande who was great visionary and patron of education is striving hard to develop college as an institution of higher education and learning. The College Development Council consisting of educationalists, industrialists and administrators and representatives of Legislative Council and Town Municipality are constantly guiding for the promotion of education culture in the College.
